Veronica MacInnis
President
Veronica MacInnis is the eDiscovery Case Manager in the Litigation Department of Stikeman Elliott in Vancouver. With two decades of paralegal and litigation support experience, she assists in all stages of complex commercial litigation matters, ensuring timeliness, cost effectiveness, and quality of each project. Veronica is CEDS certified and helps with preparing others to write the CEDS exam through the Canadian CEDS Study Guide Groups. Prior to volunteering with ACEDS, Veronica served as a director with the BC Paralegal Association for over eight years.
Lisa Evenson
Vice President
Lisa has extensive knowledge in the design and use of various document management support systems utilized for complex, document-intensive, and often multi-party claims. In her role as one of the eDiscovery Specialists for the firm, she provides advice and support to assist with the firm’s various litigation support software, providing on-site technical support to other paralegals and lawyers, as well as assisting clients with the collection of their electronically stored information, and the review, analysis and production of same. Lisa is a Summation iBlaze Certified End-User and Case Manager as well as a Summation Pro Certified End-User. Lisa is a contributing member of the Practice + Procedures Focus Group that assists the court with the drafting and updating of the Electronic Practice Directive and the Guidelines on Benchmarking of Costs paper for the Canadian Judicial Council.
Peter Sanford
Treasurer
Peter Sanford leads Deloitte’s eDiscovery, Computer Forensics and Document Review practice in Western Canada. He has experience working on hundreds of matters involving discovery readiness, preservation, analysis and reporting on electronic evidence, data processing, and hosting of data in web applications. In addition, Peter has extensive experience in the use of structured and conceptual analytics to assist in prioritizing client data for review.
A trusted advisor in the Western Canadian legal community, Peter helps remove the complexity of eDiscovery by providing clear communication and reliable project management on complex cases.
Tracy McBride
Secretary
Tracy McBride has over 20 years’ experience working in litigation support and eDiscovery roles. Currently an eDiscovery Case Manager at Miller Thomson LLP in Vancouver, she assists litigators across Canada using technology to develop strategies to cull, review and produce documentary evidence. Tracy also assists in administering the firm’s electronic hearings and trials platform and provides support for both paper and electronic trials. Tracy is CEDS certified.
Monique Sever
Membership Director
Monique is a Litigation Support & eDiscovery Supervisor for Harper Grey LLP and helps manage the team of eDiscovery technicians to ensure their robust eDiscovery and litigation support needs are met for all their clients. She has over 20 years’ experience in the litigation and eDiscovery realm. She is also co-creator and instructor of the Electronic Discovery and Litigation Technology course at Vancouver Community College.
Monique is the Co-chair and a contributing member of the Practice + Procedures Focus Group that assists the court with the drafting and updating of the Electronic Practice Directive and the Guidelines on Benchmarking of Costs paper for the Canadian Judicial Council.

Sonam Sharma

Sonam has over 9+ years of experience in eDiscovery, Digital Forensics, and Contract Analytics. Sonam is a Relativity Master and CEDS specialist, a combined accomplishment achieved by just about 20 eDiscovery professionals worldwide. At X1, she leads the Solutions Delivery team which includes the client portfolio of Service Delivery, Customer Retention and Product Implementation. Partnering with other business leaders and executives, she oversees the project lifecycle and manages the project portfolio, roadmap, steering, and risks to enable the proper adoption of X1 Digital Forensic products.
Prior to X1, she worked for PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in Germany and India where she managed and contributed to large-scale, cross-border eDiscovery projects by advising clients to meet their dynamic legal and regulatory challenges with innovative Digital Forensic and eDiscovery solutions. She started her eDiscovery journey from Xerox Litigation Services as an eDiscovery Services analyst. She holds an honors degree in Computer Science Engineering.
Ann Halkett
Past President
Ann Halkett is the Manager, eDiscovery Services at Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP. She has worked with, and is certified in, a number of litigation support software tools and has a Project Management Certificate from the University of British Columbia Sauder School of Business. She is consulted on a wide variety of systems and technologies from evidence management to trial presentations and creates and maintains standards and best practices for the use of litigation support solutions and processes. She currently teaches the “Electronic Evidence and Litigation Technology” course in the Paralegal Program at Vancouver Community College. She is the past-chair of each of the British Columbia Legal Management Association Litigation Support Subsection, and Information Technology Subsection, and has presented at many CLE’s, and conferences.
Lisa Rennie

Lisa has over 25 years of experience in litigation support, with a focus on the use of technology and ediscovery. Her experience has been acquired working on numerous cases in various areas of litigation, including complex commercial matters, class actions and public enquiries. Many of these involved multiple parties and voluminous documentation.
Lisa has been instrumental in the development and implementation of electronic databases, not only for the purposes of preservation of documents and evidence, identification, organization, review and production, but also for managing transcripts, summaries, answers to undertakings and research.
She also regularly works with both domestic and foreign clients to assist with data preservation, collection and document management.
Tiana Van Dyk

As the Managing Director of Canada, Tiana is responsible for overseeing the company’s business operations, strategic initiatives, and financial performance. She is committed to driving the company’s reach and impact in the Canadian market, leveraging over 15 years of excellence in the legal and eDiscovery space.
Tiana is an effective leader and communicator, with a talent for building high performing teams. She is skilled at developing and implementing strategic plans, and dedicated to building strong relationships with clients and partners. She is also focused on driving value for clients through her leadership of the global eDiscovery Consulting practice.
Tiana was recognized as the leading Data & eDiscovery expert in the 2022 Canadian Lexology Client Choice Awards. In addition to her strategic and leadership roles at Epiq, Tiana is completing her second year as the Global Chair of Epiq’s Diversity, Equity & Inclusion Committee in 2023.
Tiana has extensive experience as a conference speaker, panelist, moderator, author and consultant on the topics of eDiscovery, Analytics, Project Management, Document Review, Data Visualization, Change Management and Leadership. She is a contributing member of the EDRM and sits on the Global Advisory Council, as well as having been one of the lead developers of the eMSAT (eDiscovery Maturity Self-Assessment Test), and a contributor to the EDRM’s TAR Guidelines, published in 2019. Tiana is an active member of Sedona Canada’s WG7, and was a member of the drafting committee for the revisions to the Sedona Canada Principles Addressing Electronic Discovery. Tiana was also part of the steering committee who worked with ACEDS to develop a Canadian version of their robust study materials and certification exam. She has also collaborated with ILTA to discuss trends in eDiscovery.
Tiana guest lectures at the University of Calgary, Faculty of Law on eDiscovery, Analytics, best practices, and the EDRM. She also lectures at Osgoode Hall Law School’s Certificate in eDiscovery program.
Tania Moolla

Tania is a Senior eDiscovery Project Manager at Alexander Holburn Beaudin + Lang LLP. She has worked in legal for over 20 years, specializing in eDiscovery since 2011. She has experience with many software platforms and routinely works on large complex eDiscovery projects. She performs all tasks related to eDiscovery, including collection of voluminous electronic evidence, data analysis, setting up and monitoring Continuous Active Learning AI projects, production of evidence and more, to ensure all project needs and best practices are met in a timely and cost-effective manner.
Tania is a Certified eDiscovery Specialist (CEDS) and frequently enrolls in classes and seminars to ensure her professional development is current with the latest tools and techniques in the ever-changing world of eDiscovery and technology.
Bridget Hui

Bridget is an eDiscovery Paralegal and the Technology Lead at Nathanson, Schachter and Thompson LLP. She specializes in eDiscovery and has served on some of NST’s most complex litigation disputes. Bridget provides technical support and assists in all stages of complex commercial litigation from document collection through to trial preparation using various document management programs. Bridget is CEDS certified.
Yvette Kind

Yvette has been a litigation paralegal/law clerk for 35+ years utilizing several eDiscovery programs end-to-end in addition to project management and developing processes/procedures surrounding same. She formerly supervised the litigation support department at a top 10 global law firm before landing her current role at Cenovus Energy Inc. where she works as a Sr. Paralegal and specializes in intellectual property law/litigation support. Yvette has been CEDs certified since January, 2018, has held many mentorship roles, earned several awards for inspiring/motivating others, is a former city councillor (2017-2021) and has a lengthy record of volunteer efforts that continue through to today. She is a graduating member of the inaugural class of 2021 of the Canadian Certified Patent Administrator (CCPA) program and is currently preparing to write the counter-part trademark administrator exam (CCTA). Yvette is a long time member of the AAPP, CAP and the Calgary Litigation Support group.
